Steve Wilson

After being injured in a motorcycle accident several years ago which left him a paraplegic, Steve Wilson taught himself to paint and it helped him to turn tragedy into triumph. Steve sold his first painting in 1991. Always a positive person, he has inspired others with his beautiful artwork, community and church service. In 2001, Steve's house and studio burned down. The only surviving painting, Trail of Peace, was severely damaged and Steve repainted it. This was his first Giclee reproduction.

Steve now sells his paintings throughout the United States. Living in Western Montana, his work depicts the beautiful Bitterroot Valley as well as the various wildlife found in the mountains of Montana. Steve has turned his disability into a way to help children by sharing his paintings and teaching at local schools. "I hit two birds with one stone", Steve says. "I help them make pictures, and I show them about disabilities."

Steve was named Montana Ducks Unlimited "Artist of the Year" in the years 2003, for "Courtship" and 2004 for "Trumpeter Tranquility".
